RURU 2022
Three-channel video installation

RURU reflects on how the female body is shaped, fragmented, and interpreted under systems of visibility and symbolic control. Six circular video projections—evoking magnified fields of view—display slow, organic movements that suggest bodily presence without offering a fixed image.

The shifting forms remain unresolved, resisting capture or conclusion. Intermittent flashes of blue and white light gently disrupt the flow, hinting at acts of interruption, exposure, or external attention. These subtle intrusions evoke the tensions between being seen and being known, between vulnerability and resistance.

Rather than telling a story, the work creates a space of ambiguity—where perception unfolds slowly and meaning remains open. Through motion, light, and partial visibility, RURU invites the viewer to reflect on how bodies are shaped not only by what is seen, but by how they are seen.
